A human friendly design

     Sa-ard Jai broom makes cleaning easy and relaxing. It is a piece of art and a household tool that can be used and displayed in your house, your workplace, or your school. We make Sa-ard Jai with heart and designed it to be a human-friendly and environmental-friendly product.

     Our brooms are new broom design applying techniques passed down to a young designer, who admires oriental and western art and practiced design in the US, Japan, and in Thailand. He learned the art of broom making from a broom making master who frequently visits the same forest monastery as the designer.

STORY

     The story of Sa-ard Jai essential broom began with monk Nanto, in a forest monastery in Wang Nam Kiew. In the forest monastery, our daily meditation included cleaning. We clean to become more aware of our surroundings. After the path is clear, we could see clearly and be mindful of poisonous snakes and other deadly animals, especially when we went back to our Kuti at night. Lung Prasarn, a dedicated friend and teacher, told Nanto that there is one broom so difficult to make. One monk once said “To find a million Baht would be easier than to make this broom.” This broom was the prototype of Sa-ard Jai Standard Grassbroom, and it became the point of initiation of our broom making company.

TODAY

     Now, we have developed our products to match everyday users’ needs and standards. Our collection includes Sa-ard Jai Standard Grassbroom, our indoor broom, Sa-ard Jai Outdoor and Garden Broom, for outdoors, and Sa-ard Jai Small Broom, for smaller corners and shelves.

     Our design focuses on natural material combined with new and modern aesthetics. It is also ergonomic and helps body composure with a smooth hand-sculpted angle in the lower part of the design.

     We are more than proud to present each of our designs. We are making this because we believe and want to be part of a cleaner future, an eco-friendly environment, and an essential way of living.

DESIGNER

     Toon Kantharoup is the main designer of Sa-ard Jai products. He is an architectural designer and also runs his own architecture studio. He is experienced by both western and eastern cultures, by spending some time abroad and at in his home country, Thailand.
