Cosmetic Pilot Plant

       Mae Fah Luang University (MFU),

        in the province of Chiang Rai in northern Thailand, is named after Princess Mother (Somdet Yah), mother of the King of Thailand. Mae Fah Luang was the name given to her by the local people in Chiang Rai.

     MFU was established under the Royal Charter in September 1998, as a public autonomous university with the financial supports from the Royal Thai Governments.  The establishment was in response to the needs of people in the North of Thailand and to commemorate the gracious contribution of the Princess Mother.  MFU is already well known for its high-quality of research especially of Cosmetic Science.

     Professor Dr. Natthawut Thitipramote, Head of excellent centre of natural product for protecting and promoting public health and lecturer from school of cosmetics sciences, Mae Fah Luang University has invented and researched several innovative products such as

     - Number 333 Hair Care Set, hair loss prevention products from Sangyod rice extract, a colored native Thai rice

     - Lanadene Premium Facial product has a variety of quality natural extracts, mainly  longan seed, cocoon protiens, paper mulberry extract, and lotus extract

     - Chic, a fresh beauty product of Mae Fah Luang, offers a wide selection of goods

     All products have gone through extensive research and is certified by many institutions,  including numerous awards such as:

     - Being selected by Agricultural Research Development Agency (Public Organization) (ARDA.) and the National Research Council (NRC) to join Kaohsiung International Invention & Design Expo (KIDE 2015). Hosted in Taiwan from 4-5 December 2015

     The winner from international exhibitors from more than 20 countries with over 500 institutional presentations.
